Heritage protection, heritage assets, conservation areas at risk, the value of townscape, are all high on the agenda at present. The HTF Annual Conference, to be held in Chichester on 21-23 October this year, will bring together expert witnesses, good practice case studies and recent research to support practitioners and decision makers.
The charismatic provocateur, Wayne Hemingway, will open the conference which will also include visits to key venues in the region – including the Pallant House Gallery and the Cass Sculpture Foundation - which demonstrate the vital contribution of heritage to the economy and quality of life of the area.
A range of cases studies will illustrate good practice in the strategic approaches which can lead to vibrant and viable places.
The programme will also include ‘Learning from Place’ workshops run by the Academy of Urbanism.
